About Us

Tailored Films is an award-winning independent film and TV production company based in Dublin, founded by producers Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde in 2006.

Known for bold, internationally focused projects underpinned by strong societal themes, our work has been selected for major festivals including Cannes, Telluride, TIFF and SXSW, and has received significant industry recognition from BAFTA, the Golden Globes and two Academy Award nominations.

With extensive experience across international co-productions, financing and production, Tailored works with partners at every stage of a project, from development and packaging through to production, post and delivery. The company can operate as a lead, minority or service producer, bringing a strong network of international industry relationships and a proven track record in securing Irish, European and US finance. This includes Ireland’s Section 481 tax credit, as well as funding from Eurimages, Creative Europe and Screen Ireland, with multiple slate funding awards from both Creative Europe and Screen Ireland.

Our slate brings together projects from acclaimed auteurs and emerging filmmaking talent, with a focus on ambitious stories that can appeal internationally.

Our Team

Ruth Treacy

Co-Founder and Producer/Director

  • Ruth is Co-Founder of and a Producer /Director at Tailored. She oversees the entire slate and spearheads creative production, with specific focus on film. She is a graduate of EAVE and Screen Leaders, a former EFP Producer on the Move, and a member of the European Film Academy and European Producers Club

Julianne Forde

Co-Founder and Producer

  • Julianne is Co-Founder of and a Producer at Tailored. She is head of technical operations and production in the company. She also works as a VFX producer and has won multiple awards for her work in this capacity, including an IFTA. She was selected as Irish Producer on the Move 2026.

Mairtín de Barra

Producer

  • Mairtín joined Tailored in 2022 as a Producer. He brought his significant production experience (Line Producing) to the company and now works across project financing, project producing and post. He is spearheading Tailored’s focus on TV expansion. He is a graduate of EAVE, ACE Series Special and the Puttnam Scholar’s Programme.

Louise Byrne

Producer

  • Louise is a Producer, having joined Tailored in 2026. Her acclaimed documentary and fiction work has earned her four IFTA nominations, multiple international awards and selections at major festivals including Sundance, Tribeca and Sheffield DocFest. She supports projects as they move into production and works on the development of new projects.

Caitríona McCormack

Associate Producer

  • Caitríona is an Associate Producer at Tailored, having joined in 2023. With a background in production coordination on multiple international films, she supports projects as they advance through the development to production pipeline. She is a recent graduate of the Screen Ireland EMERGE Producer’s Programme and a fluent Irish speaker

Cal McGee

Development Manager

  • Cal is Development Manager at Tailored, joining in 2019. He oversees projects on the slate across packaging and creative development. He has experience securing funding from bodies including Creative Europe, COE and Screen Ireland. Cal is also a writer, graduating from BBC Voices, and creator of ‘Ar Ais Arís’

Jamie Hickey

Development and Production Assistant

  • Jamie is a Development and Production Assistant at Tailored. He works across early development, supporting project assessment and development and the identification of emerging voices and international talent. His role also spans production assistant work, working in a supportive capacity on funding applications for both development and production finance.

Diarmuid O'Brien

Head of Post-Production

  • Diarmuid is Head of Post-Production, having joined the team in 2022. He manages the digital production wing of the company, oversees tech delivery and archiving of projects and edits social media content for Tailored's new releases. Diarmuid is also an experienced comedy scriptwriter, with credits on RTÉ, BBC and Disney.

Gary S Ryan

Finance and Business Affairs

  • Gary joined Tailored as Business Affairs Executive in 2022 after over 20 years of experience in the media industry. He oversees the finances across Tailored’s slate, manages the 481 tax credit process, oversees compliance and assists with financial closings. He is a graduate of the Screen Skills Production Accountancy programme.
