spring updates: ‘der irland krimi’ series 6, ‘hokum’ wraps, and ‘bring them down’ streaming now

‘Der Irland Krimi’ Series 6 Wraps
Following the success of series 1-5, we are pleased to say production has officially wrapped on the sixth series of ‘Der Irland Krimi’, the popular German-Irish crime drama from good friends Filmproduktions GmbH on behalf of ARD Degeto for ARD. Starring Désirée Nosbusch, ‘Der Ireland Krimi’ viewership remains very strong and we are delighted to bring fans another gripping chapter soon with two further feature length episodes. Being part of a show with such staying power is a testament to the teamwork of the exceptional cast and crew and we were thrilled to reprise our roles as co-producers for a further series.

‘Hokum’ Wraps Filming in Cork
We’re excited to announce that filming has officially wrapped on ‘Hokum’, a new psychological horror feature starring Emmy-nominee Adam Scott (‘Severance’’). Written and directed by IFTA nominee/SXSW Midnight Audience award winner Damian McCarthy (‘Caveat’, ‘Oddity’), ‘Hokum’ blends eerie folklore with claustrophobic tension and psychological horror, following a novelist who returns to Ireland to scatter his parents’ ashes - only to find himself trapped in a haunted hotel steeped in terrifying legend.
Alongside Tailored, the film is produced by Spooky Pictures founders Roy Lee (“Barbarian”) and Steven Schneider (“Strange Darling”), and Image Nation’s Derek Dauchy (“Late Night with the Devil”). Ben Ross (“Late Night With the Devil”), Dan Kagan (“Longlegs”), Rami Yasin (“Late Night With the Devil”) and Andrew Childs (“Boy Kills World”) serve as executive producers.
While the final scenes are due to be shot overseas, the rest of the film was shot on-location at West Cork Film Studios, and we are very grateful to the incredible local crew and the studio for their hospitality, and to Screen Ireland for their co-production and regional support mechanisms, which were invaluable.

‘The Apprentice’ at the Oscars
‘The Apprentice’ (written by Gabriel Sherman and directed by Ali Abbasi) capped off an extraordinary awards season with two Golden Globe nominations, three BAFTA nominations and two nominations at the 97th Academy Awards: Best Actor (Sebastian Stan) and Best Supporting Actor (Jeremy Strong). Producers Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde were honoured to represent Irish film at the ceremony, alongside our producing partners at Scythia Films Profile Pictures, Film Institute and Gidden Media.
Though the actors did not take home the awards, the nominations themselves mark a monumental achievement for everyone involved in the project, particularly given its bumpy road to release (as is well documented!) We’re deeply grateful for all the support and love this film has received on a global scale and are extremely proud of the actors’ dedication, passion and tenacity when supporting and advocating for its continued recognition worldwide.
‘The Apprentice’ is also currently nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Motion Picture, and is now available on demand.

‘Bring Them Down’ Now on MUBI
After a successful theatrical run across multiple territories including the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Mexico and France, ‘Bring Them Down’ is now available to stream exclusively on MUBI.
The visceral revenge thriller marks the feature debut of Screen Star of Tomorrow Christopher Andrews and features an exceptional cast: Barry Keoghan, Christopher Abbott, Colm Meaney, Nora-Jane Noone, Paul Ready, Susan Lynch, and Aaron Heffernan.
Produced by Tailored Films and Wild Swim, with co-producers Frakas Productions and support from Screen Ireland, RTÉ, Coimisiún na Meán, and the UK Global Screen Fund, ‘Bring Them Down’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and earned awards at Fantastic Fest, Rome, Mannheim-Heidelberg, and the BIFAs.
The film continues to earn strong praise, recently launching in France as ‘Le Clan des Bêtes’ via UGC. We’re thrilled by the global response and love seeing your reviews on Letterboxd and beyond - keep them coming!
